I'm sick of these high gas prices! I need somebody to be mad at!

Well, it's not a simple issue, and there's no one person to blame. Gasoline prices are largely determined by the global oil market, a complex web of independent actors, acting according to his or her own interests. Ultimately, rising gas prices reflect the increasing worldwide demand for oil.
